With reference to our telephone conversation

this afternoon regarding the four Thompson sub-machine

guns on order for the Police Department, Hong Kong we

have, as requested, arranged with Messrs. Civil Protection

Ltd to telegraph to the suppliers, Federal Laboratories

Incorporated, to suspend shipment pending further

instructions.

You will no doubt let us know in due course

what further action is to be taken in the matter and

whether it is desired that we should ascertain on what

terms the order could be cancelled.
